This is a data-focused article. I’ll bring together examples of telekinesis practitioners and analyze them in the following ways:
Development: What they communicate is important to develop telekinesis as an ability
Technique: How they explain their technique for carrying out telekinesis
Diligence: How long have they been practicing, and what habits were involved
Relationship: What appears to be their personal relationship with telekinesis
I have a bias towards focusing on the long-term development aspects, as opposed to the particular technique at the moment of doing telekinesis. However, there is significant overlap between the two, and we’ll see what these practitioners think about development vs technique.
For now, I’m limiting the scope to 5 practitioners, with a preference towards those who are particularly effective (e.g. large movements, levitation of objects) and have video demonstrations. This a taste of one type of content I will continue to produce for you, across various psychic abilities.
Data
Practitioner 1: Ernst Veter
Ah, the great Russian teacher Ernst Veter. I may as well start with him, as he’s levitated the heaviest objects I’ve seen so far. He also has demonstration videos of various students.
Demonstration video link (levitating a large tree branch)
See also this one of levitating multiple objects at once:
Explanation video link (one of many interviews) - He also teaches an online class
Development: Ernst Veter frequently emphasizes the importance of:
Chakras, balancing our chakras, strengthening them
Energy gathering and avoiding the loss of energy
Healthy diet, such as no sugar, and he relates diet to energy
Regular practice over a period of months, recommending 1000 hours for telekinesis.
Technique:
Be aware of the object’s “field,” and use that to move it. Ernst also uses the concept of an “energy double.”
Visualization; he once said visualization is 80% of success.
Connecting with the object itself, such as observing every detail, and it’s easier to use an object with which one has an existing relationship or familiarity.
Diligence:
His website states that his course involves “1,000 hours of training over a period of 10 months.”
Regular practice, as not practicing can cause one to lose the ability (like a muscle).
He said those who diligently do what he says are the ones who are successful, and his very successful student Alex Shimko is a great example of diligence and dedication.
Relationship with telekinesis:
Ernst learned closely, in-person, from a particular teacher, Arne, who could do various pyshic abilities. He studied with him for many years, and reportedly spent around $10-15,000 on tuition over that time. He still holds great respect for Arne.
Ernst has a very intricate, detailed system, called the “Ernst Veter System”. His course involves many exercises, approaching the same concept from multiple angles.
Ernst teaches telekinesis to many people, and he had a strong intention to bring these abilities to the world through teaching, like “Bruce Lee” brought martial arts to Western culture.
My take: Ernst has a detailed system that works for him, but there is significant variation of technique even among his students and he acknowledges that his way is not the only way. I think that putting so much creativity, confidence, and focus into a particular system of techniques is what enabled his success. He might also be right about the importance of energy, and sensing the field of the object.
Practitioner 2: Telekinesis Guru (YouTuber with checkered mask)
Telekinesis Guru moves and levitates relatively large objects, and focuses on emotion and belief.
YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAz1IbSMUexUHbmHRbxo1hQ
Explanation:
Development:
Reference: See his playlist for learning telekinesis in 7 days
“You need two things, a healthy mind and a healthy body.”
For example, Day 1 is about having enough money, having friends, having a clean house, so we have a clear mind for telekinesis. Day 2 suggests exercising every day.
Breathe in 100%, breathe out 50%. Feed your third eye with oxygen by getting as much oxygen in your brain as possible. Before and during telekinesis but also anytime during the day. Try to always breathe consciously.
(Sort of like energy gathering, but physically with oxygen.)
Work on holding in as much air as you can, even 100%. Over time your lung capacity will increase and your telekinesis ability will improve.
Do this as a meditation.
Technique:
Location: Ideally done in nature, but he says it’s a personal preference and to do it in a place we like.
Believe in yourself (notice his confidence in the video, right before he does each demonstration).
Connect with the object.
Breathe in 100%, breathe out 50%, right before and during telekinesis.
Use of emotion towards the object. e.g. love to bring an object closer, hate to push it away.
Diligence:
Regularly practice breathing in more than out, throughout the day and in meditation.
He recommends “at least 3 hours” of meditation.
Relationship with telekinesis:
For Telekinesis Guru, the relationship aspects are more explicit (see the below video at about 2:30). Especially, the relationship with the object: “Love is what moves the object.”
He feels connected with the area he’s in and the object he’s affecting.
He feels very confident in his ability to do telekinesis.
His current emotions affect his ability to do telekinesis.
My take: Telekinesis Guru is a great example of the power of passion, emotion, and confidence. That is, the psychological factors that can dramatically influence our success. I appreciate the simplicity of his core teachings.
Practitioner 3: Anonymous on Paranormal Spirituality channel
This anonymous practitioner focuses more explicitly on the use of energy or qi. The below videos include both demonstrations and explanations.
Development:
Develop the ability to effortlessly have a self-sustaining loop of qi energy going between your chakras and the earth, known as the Microcosmic Orbit.
Years of Taoist energy body meditation practices, such as Qi Gong.
Technique:
Using the qi loop, either a single burst of qi energy from the hand, or a rapid succession of qi bursts from the hand.
Diligence:
Apparently regular practice with energy body meditation exercises (Paranormal Spirituality released videos of someone explaining similar techniques for levitation; if it’s the same person, he maintained a practice of meditating up to 5 hours a day).
Relationship with telekinesis:
This anonymous practitioner appears to have practiced Taoist techniques for a long time before his success with telekinesis. And we can see that his particular technique is a reflection of the philosophy he learned and practiced.
Notice his instruction to learn to “effortlessly” sustain the qi loop. In other words, through practice of a particular technique for a long time, it became relatively easy for him and he can do it on autopilot to some extent (with help from the subconscious).
My take: The way this practitioner can use “energy” through intention is quite inspiring! To me this illustrates the advantage of strengthening in our mind and body a conceptualization such as energy, that we can then apply in a variety of ways in the moment.
Practitioner 4: Grandmaster Wolf
I love the energy that Grandmaster Wolf brings to any conversation. I once had a one-on-one conversation with him. What did I notice? He’s a mystic, through and through, focused on personal experience and the mind. His repeated advice is to let go of the ego’s thoughts and beliefs, as this gets in the way.
The below interview also shows many demonstrations of telekinesis.
Development:
I asked Grandmaster Wolf, “what changes over time as someone gets better at telekinesis?”
His answer: Getting better at detaching themselves from their ego.
“If you were to start training someone to do telekinesis right now, what would you have them do?”
His answer: Learn the correct form of meditation.
Technique:
In my conversation with Grandmaster Wolf, I asked him about telekinesis techniques. He said, beliefs about how telekinesis works aren't helpful. Beliefs and doubts can get in the way because they are thoughts. Experience the reality of you being the same oneness as other objects and then you can do PK.
Grandmaster Wolf clarifies in one interview that qi can be used for telekinesis, but qi uses our energy so it’s better to do it through being one with the object, which doesn’t require energy.
However, I want to point out here that Grandmaster Wolf has undergone extensive qi and martial arts training for years and also teaches martial arts, so it may be that these practices enabled him to do telekinesis.
He also says that larger objects are not inherently more difficult. I asked him why and he said, it’s just about the universe participating in that movement. (In other words, will the universe help us lift a piano with our mind?)
“Do you use emotion when performing telekinesis?”
His answer: “No. Emotion is a dangerous way to do PK, like using a hand grenade to open a door.”
Note: His first instance of telekinesis was accidently doing telekinesis due to feeling strong fear.
Diligence:
I don’t know what Grandmaster Wolf’s telekinesis habits were, but from what I understand he maintains a diligent schedule.
He emphasies the importance of developing our willpower, such as doing things that are difficult since they require us to use our will.
Diligence in true meditation is a key aspect of his teachings. That is, “Notice your thoughts, emotions, etc. swirling by and notice yourself jumping between them. Stop jumping between them and stay in one place as they swirl around you. Then you're in a position to enact changes, if you want.” He also recommends meditation as something we can do at all times, while doing other things.
Relationship with telekinesis:
For Grandmaster Wolf, telekinesis is closely tied to his meditation practice. And his meditation practice is closely tied to his whole life story, including being a Tibetan Monk and having various mystical experiences. As a Tibetan Monk, they encouraged each other to maintain awareness and discipline.
His experience as a mystic has taught him the importance of awareness, to avoid beliefs and thoughts like traps, and the reality of oneness. As you can see, this carried over into his approach to telekinesis.
My take: I love his emphasis that the particular technique doesn’t matter, which appears to be true given the variety techniques out there. However, it doesn’t seem true that having a particular belief system about how telekinesis works inevitably gets in the way, since the other practitioners we discussed were successful with these sorts of beliefs. Plus, the idea that we have to experience being one with the object is also a belief. Nonetheless, Grandmaster Wolf provides a useful reminder to focus on personal experience and take everything else with a grain of salt.
Practitioner 5: Sean McNamara
I’m including Sean McNamara as he’s been relatively well known as a telekinesis teacher for many years, and has a scientific approach to testing his abilities. In contrast, the other YouTubers became well known within the last 5 years or so.
Explanation source:
His free workbook Defy Your Limits: The Telekinesis Training Method
See his books here: https://www.mindpossible.com/books.html
Development:
Sean explains in his free workbook the importance of regular practice directly attempting telekinesis.
He recommends starting with moving a psi wheel with no glass and the hands near, then with glass covering, then farther away, etc.
Technique:
A balance between being very relaxed but also alert and focused.
Oneness with the object.
Hand movements to focus attention and energy.
Diligence:
Sean emphasizes diligence more than any particular technique.
That is, attempt telekinesis for 30 minutes with something very small every day for 2 months, and then review your progress, and keep going.
Relationship with telekinesis:
Sean emphasizes that he has had many moments of doubt, but reminding himself of his clear success in the past has helped to maintain his confidence.
He also discusses relationships with objects. For example, if he’s been practicing with a particular psi wheel, it might move just from him entering the room. Or, other psi wheels in a separate container sometimes move when he’s intentionally focusing on a different psi wheel in a different container!
Sean is seen as an expert on telekinesis.
My take: I strongly agree with the importance of direct practice. However, the other four practitioners above demonstrate much larger movements, so it’s worth considering what explains the difference. Did they only have more practice time, or did their qi energy, mind body techniques, or meditation ability make the difference?
And personally, I don’t think practicing without a container to block air, or putting one’s hands on the container, are necessary steps as they could lead one to think something is working which is not. That being said, Sean has very clear evidence of his telekinesis working and I appreciate him bringing a Western perspective into this practice.
Other telekinesis influencers to keep in mind:
Conclusion
Some consider telekinesis to be something you could get lucky enough to do right away if you use the right technique, and that might be true. But even with quick success there will always be the potential for improvement over time, and everyone who is very effective at doing telekinesis on demand achieved that through dedicated practices. Furthermore, each practitioner who does large movements is very passionate about their particular approach to telekinesis, even though their explanations greatly differ amongst themselves. What method do you want for yourself?
I find watching their demonstrations and learning their methods to be very motivating; that in and of itself is a strategy for developing telekinesis, complementary to diligent practice. I’ll let you know how it goes!
