You can find Part 1 here: Part 1 - What is happening to me?
As I have a lot to say, I’ve decided to split each year into two posts. Enjoy.
Character 3: The Psychic
Towards the end of 2022 I started learning from a few teachers in particular:
Grandmaster Wolf - Teaches meditation, oneness, and telekinesis
Ernst Veter - Teaches telekinesis, levitation, and ESP
Jade Shaw - Teaches astral projection
Suzanne Giesemann - Teaches mediumship
Understandably, this was a time of much content absortion for me. I completed the 1-month astral projection training on MindValley and learned from it, but I came out dissappointed as I had no such experience. Not surprising that it’s not that easy though, right? I don’t doubt at least some people had success with these techniques, but how can I guarantee success for myself? How long will it take?
Into 2023
I continue Ernst Veter’s year-long telekinesis course, which I started September of 2022. The first months are dedicated to ESP practice primarily, by guessing which physical card is the correct one among three options. So I do a daily ESP practice this way. This gave me a lot more experience with failure than success, but through experimentation I learned what can work well. For example, my best success (many times in a row) I did right after waking up from a nap without getting up. It was slow, letting imagery that came on its own represent what the answer was in an indirect way. This was very statistically significant. Awesome!
However, this class had little accountability or even interaction with Ernst Veter except a few private messages, and I end up not finishing the course as the person selling the course broke his business relationship with Ernst Veter. Nonetheless, it allowed me to understand the key components to Ernst Veter’s approach to telekinesis (see the post Data: Telekinesis Trends for more perspective). I also interviewed Grandmaster Wolf about telekinesis and found he has one answer for everything: everything is a thought. Oneness and “true meditation” is his approach, much less complex than Ernst Veter’s. Still, Ernst Veter seems to have much more control over his ability.
I also take Helané Wahbeh’s course “The Art and Science of Channeling” and listen to her audiobook. That was well worth it! Helané actually is a scientist, and a medium.
But my challenge seems to be that I have too many psychic abilities to learn and practice, so I’m not sufficiently diligent with any of them. Which one should I prioritize?
Character 1: The Truth Seeker
Choose astral projection! Awareness is what matters the most. Once you’re aware, you can know what to do next. With astral projection, you can explore reality for yourself.
(If only it were that easy)
Character 4: The Coach
Since I had joined MindValley for the astral projection course, I received notice of their hypnotherapy program starting at the beginning of 2023. I started to see hypnosis as a gateway to spirituality and a better understanding of the mind. Somehow I knew this would be a useful skill for my purposes.
So, I join the MindValley Certified Hypnotherapist program for $2000 (I’m lucky that soon after my spiritual transformation, I had a well paying job which allowed me to invest in learning). And I’m not dissappointed. Learning hypnotherapy has had a dramatic influence on me and my identity. I start to see myself as a hypnotherapist, and the improvisation required seems to come naturally to me. I also start applying what I learned about the subconscious, such as establishing hypnotic “anchors” for myself (like touching my right thumb and index finger together to invite communication from spirit).
After the general hypnotherapy training, I next go through a spiritual hypnotherapy certification program, for both past life regression therapy and life between lives therapy. This gives me a complementary understanding of how to help people experience deeper states and to learn from their inner intuition, conversationally. And I find it’s remarkably successful. Not that I think you should trust the facts that emerge, but almost everyone I do hypnotherapy with has a very meaningful, beneficial experience.
Given my interest in psychic ability development, the application of hypnosis is clear to me. I want to use hypnosis to help people develop psychic abilities. I’m starting to see that psychic ability coaching could be a career path for me, despite little verified success with psychic ability. For two reasons:
I look at the long term. Years in the future I’m likely to have personal success.
I can use the skills I have to help people, just like a surgeon doesn’t need to experience illness to perform surgery. By skills I mean hypnosis, project management, goal setting, etc.
If only I could put myself into a deep hypnotic state as easily as I can other people!
Character 3: The Psychic
So, given my focus is now on astral projection and I’m following the teacher Jade Shaw, I’ve decided to join an astral projection program by Jade Shaw; Astral Academy for a few hundred dollars. Every week we learn from a completely different teacher who has a very different expertise and perspective on astral projection. A few months later, I like it so much that I even pay for the same experience again.
We learn about:
Working with plant spirits
Working with the earth’s geography and magnetism
Strategies to get into the right theta state between delta and alpha
Applying the Silva method
Much more
Jade Shaw also taught that people are more likely to astral project when they work on it with others, and when there’s a specific event or milestone which motivates us. These are useful concepts which stuck with me, and indeed one of the greatest things about Jade Shaw’s programs was the community of peers that came with it.
But, I didn’t astral project, even though some other people did. Wasn’t that the point of all this? Well, I did have a dream about astral projecting, but that’s not the same. The exercises we’re getting from this program feel ad hoc, different every week, and with no follow up or accountability. My practice is all over the place and mostly involves falling asleep. The community and sharing of experiences is motivating, but even the community activity eventually dies down after the program ends.
One of the teachers from Jade Shaw’s program named Florentin Ionita has their own program called the Astral Accelerator, which claims to have a more scientific, personalized approach and hands on coaching. I’ll check it out.
Character 4: The Coach
Now that I’m in an active astral projection community, this seems like a great opportunity to practice using hypnosis for psychic ability development. So, I’ve decided to offer everyone in the community one free hypnotherapy session with the goal of improving their ability to astral project. In other words, learning what is getting in the way of their success and then overcoming that. Eventually, 14 people sign up on a form! And we do it, one by one.
I love hypnotherapy, and helping people one on one. I find myself inspired and uplifted by what people share from their inner, spiritual selfs under hypnosis. And they do too. (I also find my interpretation and notetaking experience come in handy for taking notes during the session, in addition to the recording.)
I apply a spiritual problem solving approach to using hypnosis (or hypnotherapy) for psychic abilities:
Spiritual regression approach: Go deep and learn from spirit what might be getting in the way
Problem solving with intuition: Ask more questions and get specific guidance around what will work in the future
Hypnotherapy techniques: Persuade the subconscious that the current challenges are resolved, experience the desired future, and bring it to the present
Still, a single session isn’t enough and I don’t like the pay per session model. I want to ensure people are successful with a more holistic approach. Reliable psychic ability development requires a long-term perspective.
Character 5: The Self
Later after doing these sessions I finally have a couple of my own spiritual hypnotherapy sessions, and they were each deeply meaningful in their own way. I experience a potential future psychic self, which I don’t even describe to the hypnotherapist but I still remember clearly. I also receive guidance (from myself) to play with my children more, so I start to see that as related to my psychic development. Indeed, my spiritual or intuitive guidance often makes sure I prioritize family.
Wait a minute, who is this character “The Self”? Is that me?
It’s a meta character, necessary because my lived experience is really the combination of all these characters and more. And sometimes holistic reflection is helpful. Don’t worry, we’ll come back to you.
Ok.
Up next:
Batman returns, more expensive astral projection programs (Monroe Institute, Astral Accelerator), some real success, and some raw opinions.
Announcement
So far all my posts have been free. The continuation of this story will require a paid subscription for two reasons:
I’m going to reveal more about my personal life, so prefer a paywall limiting access, for now.
Free subscribers hasn’t given me the level of accountability I need to keep writing. Even a few paid subscribers will prioritize this because I want to make it worth it to you.
Finally, all subscription payments will be used to fund research related to psychic abilities (and this blog). In particular, (1) Spiritual Data’s initiative to scientifically certify the psychic abilities of individuals and (2) my dissertation research for psychic ability development theory. Thank you for your support!
If paying isn’t an option, I understand, and I hope you follow on for the occassional free post, high quality regardless.
